Adventure to the Moon
...We've made a mistake...
...We must leave here...
They'll track us down, they'll hunt us like a pack of thieves
They'll pull us to the ground, and drag us underneath
We have no escape, nowhere to run and hide
There's no way out; we won't leave with our lives
Where can we turn? Where can we find relief?
No bridge to burn, to seal off our retreat.
We've done no harm; we meant no wrong
It feels like there's no place that we belong
We see on the horizon, a great, looming shape
It's there we run, in hopes of finding peace
We don't have much time; they'll catch us very soon
so we must leave, on an adventure to the moon
We climb aboard, and behind us close the door
We flip the switch, and then drop to the floor
We just made it in time, I can hear them getting near
But we're safe inside; there's nothing for us to fear
The ship rises fast, hurtling at great speed
We watch out the window, and watch the earth recede
The moon draws near, and we slowly lose velocity
We enter into orbit, and fall back in disbelief
Docking near the moon's dark side
We prepared to disembark
Didn't know how many would die
When we entered in the dark
All seemed well as we looked around
Till we spotted the moon creatures
They ran our ship aground
It seems our trouble was a double feature
For in their hands they wielded guns
And soon they fired a volley
Unlucky ones got brains of sponge
We took cover in a trolley
When they came near we charged from the rear
And took them by surprise
We used our swords, cut them like cords
Then ran for the sunrise
Soon, we reached the sun again
And with it came protection
Those moon guys weren't very sane
Hated the sun like injections
We killed a bunch of ninjas there
And they killed lots of us
The battle raged for forty days
Upon the Plains of Pus
(So... much... pus.)
But after all that time had passed
And all our snacks were gone
Both sides were in a desperate fix
We wouldn't live till dawn
So then and there we called a truce
Agreed to disagree
We hopped aboard the rocket ship
And blasted off, whoopee!
But through a flue, we wound up in
A rift in time and space
It sucked us in and we all died
And that was some disgrace.
