Snapdragon

In the wasteland I wait for a sign from above</ br> An ache to speak with a God of love</ br> Silence when I call his name</ br> I shiver and soon grow numb to pain</ br>

Then, as in a vision or dream</ br> There was a light, or so it seemed</ br> Amidst the darkness, blinding snow</ br> She smiled at me from out the glow</ br>

She took my hand and held it fast</ br> Together many years we passed</ br> Though yet I have not seen God's face</ br> In this I can receive his grace</ br>

This faerie child bequeathed to me</ br> To show me truth I cannot see</ br> God so far away from sight</ br> Sends me still his shining light</ br>
